Commtel being the knowledge repository in the telecommunication and technology field, has time and again made its presence felt by meaningful industry associations. Commtel participated in the “Oil and Gas Transportation and Storage Infrastructure: Opportunities and Challenges; Strategies and Solutions” conference to discuss the investment opportunities in India’s oil and gas transportation and storage infrastructure segment; strategies of key players; and the issues and challenges facing the segment.

The conference also highlighted key trends, and showcased new technologies, best practices in design and construction and key issues faced in ensuring the safety and security of oil and gas pipelines.

Apart from Commtel some of the key players who witnessed the event were EIL, Energy Solutions, Essar, GAIL, GE Infrastructure Oil & Gas, HPCL, L&T, ONGC, Meridium, CRISIL, Petronet LNG etc.



India Telco Summit 2011
December 15-16, 2011, IIT- Bombay, India

Commtel made the most in the first International Summit on Indian Telecommunications Systems and Services. Commtel as a dedicated patron of industry-institution ventures at IIT Bombay was called for presenting it’s take in the ‘India Telco Summit 2011’ which saw the presence of stalwarts from the telecommunication world.

Commtel's CEO Shriprakash R. Pandey, shared a presentation on 'Networks in Non-Telco Setting', and its Chief Technical Officer,
Dr. Upendra Manyam, presided over a panel discussion on 'Network Health Assessment- Captive Networks in Mission Critical Areas’. Some of the companies which participated in the event apart from Commtel were Nokia Siemens Networks, Cisco, Comcast, Verizon Wireless, Huawei, Wipro, ZTE, Fujitsu Labs, Alcatel Lucent, Avaya Labs, Ericsson, Aricent and
Metanoia, Inc.

18th Annual
India Oil & Gas Review Summit & International Exhibition

Commtel became the proud sponsor and a key participant in the 18th edition of India Oil & Gas Review Summit that concluded on 9th September 2011. The event marked the presence of all the major brands in the Oil and Gas sector and close to 700 delegates from all round the world. Apart from Commtel, some of this year’s notable participants and sponsors included Oil India Limited, Essar Energy, Bharat Petroleum, HPCL, Motorola Solutions, ONGC, and Rolls Royce.

Dr. Upendra Manyam presented a technical paper on "Integrated communications for Ubiquitous Connectivity in Mission-Critical Oil and Gas Applications” that was highly appreciated.

India Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference
February 04-05, 2011, Hotel Marriott, Goa, India.

Commtel made its presence felt at an international conference- ASME India Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference representing the Pipeline Systems Division. Commtel sponsored and participated in the Key Track Event- Pipeline Automation and Measurement in Oil and Gas Industry.
Dr. Upendra Manyam- Head, Commtel TechniX, presented a technical
paper on "Converged Communications For Pipeline Operations
and Security".



CII-UNPD SUMMIT
February 17-18, 2011, Hyatt Regency, Mumbai.

Commtel participated in a seminar jointly conducted by Confederation
of Indian Industry and United Nations Procurement Division on 17-18 February 2011. The seminar called for companies to become a part of United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) to gain access to the world market

Networks and Telecommunications Systems- 2010 Exhibition
December 16-18, 2010, IIT, Bombay.

Commtel was one of the key sponsors and active participant in this
event that took place in December 16th-18th 2010. At Commtel we
are deeply committed to encourage and promote the industry-institution
partnership and this activity was one step in that direction.
